Writers on Strike

by Author700 @ 2007-11-08 - 06:26:51

Interesting things have been happening lately. One that caught my fancy was that The Writers Guild of America has gone on strike over DVD rights: They want a percentage of DVD sales.

I have mixed sentiments about this. But, I do hope that this thing gets settled soon.

To fellow writers:

How do you feel about this?

Well other people are presumably getting a percentage of DVD rights - and without the writers there'd be nothing to have a percentage of....

It'll be interesting to see how it works out.

I think they should get something after all they wrote it but I dont want the prices of DVDs to go through the roof to pay for it :(

Writers are not getting paid enough.

I think they should be compensated, it's all the legalities that
has to be worked out though.
